Formed under the Local Government Act of 1894, parish councils are civil local authorities and the first tier of local government in England. The combining of the Parishes of Ombersley and Doverdale in 1973 created one of the largest parishes in Worcestershire. The Parish extends from Crossway Green in the north to Hawford in the south and from east to west from the River Salwarpe to the River Severn.
"As Parish Clerk to Ombersley & Doverdale Parish Council, I'm immensely proud to be part of such an engaging, proactive, and inclusive parish council representing the local community. We welcome and encourage input and feedback from the wonderful community we serve; addressing your needs, mindful of how we can further enrich your lives. We look forward to hearing from you via the contact link on this website".
Anne Scadding (Clerk to the Council) November 2023
